This scholarship is presented annually and intended to support Junior and Student volunteer interested in pursuing education in a healthcare profession.
APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THIS YEAR: October 18th, 2025
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Scholarship is open to Junior/ Student volunteers of Victoria Hospital, who have 120 hours of continuous service. (Juniors Volunteers are volunteers aged 16 and 17; Student Volunteers are volunteers who are 18 and older, and enrolled in an educational institution recognized by the Government of Canada.)
- Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in or entering healthcare related fields.
- Previous recipients of the Mattie Hanna Scholarship are not eligible to re-apply.
- The Mattie Hanna Scholarship will only contribute towards tuition costs.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Application for the scholarship must be submitted prior to the commencement of the course or program, not retroactively.
- Note that as part of the application process you must also include official documentation from the educational institution confirming you are enrolled and have submitted payment. This should also be uploaded as part of your application.
